Quick Start

Get up and running with Verba in under a minute.

Your First Dictation

  1. Press Cmd+Shift+D (Mac) / Ctrl+Shift+D (Windows/Linux) — on first use, a Quick Pick menu appears with template selection.
  2. Choose a template (e.g., "Freitext") — recording starts immediately.
  3. Speak naturally.
  4. Press Cmd+Shift+D again — recording stops, text is transcribed and processed.
  5. The result appears at your cursor position.

From now on, your last template is reused automatically — just press Cmd+Shift+D to start recording immediately.

Switching Templates

Press Cmd+Alt+T (Mac) / Ctrl+Alt+T (Windows/Linux) to switch templates without starting a recording. The status bar shows the currently active template.
